Ingredients

  • 1 Cup ‏Flour
  • 3/4 Cup ‏Corn Meal, preferably yellow corn meal
  • 2 Tbsp. ‏Sugar
  • 3/4 tsp. ‏Salt
  • 3 tsp. ‏Baking Powder
  • 1 Cup ‏Milk
  • 1 ‏Egg, slightly beaten
  • 2 Tbsp. ‏Melted Shortening or Oil

Mix dry ingredients together. Add rest of ingredients. Mix until blended. Pour into a sprayed 8 or 9 inch pan. Bake at 425° for 20 to 25 minutes.
