Corn Bread
Ingredients
| Flour | 1 Cup | |
| Corn Meal, preferably yellow corn meal | 3/4 Cup | |
| Sugar | 2 Tbsp. | |
| Salt | 3/4 tsp. | |
| Baking Powder | 3 tsp. | |
| Milk | 1 Cup | |
| Egg, slightly beaten | 1 | |
| Melted Shortening or Oil | 2 Tbsp. |
Mix dry ingredients together. Add rest of ingredients. Mix until blended. Pour into a sprayed 8 or 9 inch pan. Bake at 425° for 20 to 25 minutes.
