Red’s Ultimate M&M’s Cookies
Ingredients
| (2 sticks) butter or margarine, softened | 1 Cup | |
| Granulated Sugar | 1/2 Cup | |
| Firmly packed light brown sugar | 1/2 cup | |
| Large Egg | 1 | |
| Vanilla Extract | 1 tsp. | |
| All-Purpose Flour | 2 Cups | |
| Baking Soda | 1/2 tsp. | |
| Salt | 1/8 tsp. | |
| (1 3/4 cups) "M&M's" Semi-Sweet Chocolate Mini Baking Bits | 1 12-ounce package | |
| Chopped Nuts (Optional) | 3/4 Cup |
Preheat oven to 350°.
- In large bowl, cream butter and sugars until light and fluffy; beat in egg and vanilla.
- In medium bowl, combine flour, baking soda ands salt; blend into creamed mixture.
- Stir in “M&M’s” and nuts, if using.
- Drop by heaping teaspoonful about 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheet.
- Bake 10-13 minutes, or until edges are lightly browned and centers are still soft. Do not over bake.
- Cool one minute on cookie sheet; cool completely on wire racks. Store in tightly covered container.
