Texas Sheet Cake
Cake
| Margarine | 1 Cup | |
| Cocoa | 4 Tbsp. | |
| Water | 1 Cup | |
| Flour | 2 Cups | |
| Sugar | 2 Cups | |
| Buttermilk | 1/2 Cup | |
| Eggs | 2 | |
| Soda | 1 tsp. | |
| Vanilla | 1 tsp. | |
| Cinnamon | 1/2 tsp. |
Bring to a boil — 1 cup margarine; 4 tbs. cocoa; 1 cup water.
Add to pan and beat well — 2 cups flour; 2 cups sugar.
Add 1/2 cup buttermilk; 2 eggs; 1 tsp. soda; 1 tsp. vanilla; 1/2 tsp. cinnamon.
Spread in greased and floured sheet pan. Bake 25 minutes in 350° oven.
Frosting
| Margarine | 1/2 Cup | |
| Cocoa | 3 Tbsp. | |
| Milk | 6 Tbsp. | |
| Powdered Sugar, sifted | 1 lb. | |
| Vanilla | 1 tsp. | |
| Nuts | 1 Cup |
Bring to a boil — 1/2 cup margarine; 3 tbsp. cocoa; 6 tbsp. milk.
Remove from heat.
Add – 1 pound of powdered sugar, sifted; 1 tsp. vanilla; 1 cup nuts.
Spread on cake while warm.
